I had a trip out to Leeshaw Reservoir this afternoon.
It tipped it down big style throughout the visit, so I was in the car for 90% of the time (warm rain though 8°).
Lots of noise particularly from the many Geese.
Birds:
A Kestrel on a wire seen on the way there. Greylag Geece, Canada Geese, Lapwing,Curlew, 2 Reshank, Cormorant, c80 Starling.
18 Oystercatcher, on a field wall at one point.
Some seriously wet Woodpigeon.
A pr. Geese landed in the fields NW of the water.
They had a very white fanned tail.
As the Geese landed, a Greylag took a dislike to the pair.
These were probably Greylag as well?
Lesser Black -backed Gull.
C20 Meadow Pipits.
Quite a relaxing afternoon, for a change, sitting in the car with the rain rattling on the roof, taking a few photos.
Oystercatcher in flight
Goose , miles away in the torrential rain.
Landing had a wide white fan tail
probably Greylag?
I think this is a Carrion Crow
