Leeshaw & Leeming Reservoirs

I took a run out to Oxenhope today.
I had intended to call at Ogden on my way back but I was so sodden by then, that I sloped off home.

Wet or very wet for most of my outing today.

A few head scratchers nonetheless.

Leeshaw:

Quiet:

3 Gulls - 1 Lesser Black-backed, 2 Black Headed.

Goldfinch,Meadow Pipit, Little Owl (on the wall in the wet - a surprise).

3 distant  Snipe on the waters edge.
I've not seen Snipe on the water's edge here before.

Swallow clinging to the top of the water.

10 Greylag Geese landed out of sight below the near banking.

Leeming:

Very wet, blurring everything I had that was made of glass or plastic.

Clint Eastwood with Shep running on the exposed mud banks didn't help.
Don't these people know that this place is strictly for birders when the weather is this bad?

At least 4 Tufted Duck on the far edge.
Black Headed Gull.
Mallards.

A Great Crested Grebe, or maybe two,by the looks of the photo distant, asleep in the rain.

A diving duck that had the look of a Scaup is probably a Tufted.

That was about it.

Leeshaw:

Leeming:

Distant, but I think this is a Great Crested Grebe (Bill).

Cropped from above - very distant in the rain!

Very distant in the rain - Scaup like bill
Probably a Tufted Duck though.
Picture too poor to tell really.

Diving Duck

Same video as above, with the 'diving' bit slowed down.
