Reservoir Run

A run out today through Oxenhope to Ponden and back.
I called at Ogden on my way home, forgetting it was half-term.
I could not get in the car park so I gave it a miss today.

A bit better outing than of late with a few head scratchers to contend with, but nothing really special (yet)!

Ponden 11:00

Sunny but cold.

2 Heron, Mistle Thrush, Cormorant over, Moorhen, Mallard, Coal Tit, c20 Fieldfare over.
Muscovy Ducks.

Lower Laithe:

2 Pied Wagtail, Usual Gulls.
A very distant, dark Goose with a broken wing, is probably a Canada Goose.
Also 2 Ducks in the shade, very distant, are probably Mallard.

5 White birds >NE with a fair lick of speed, seemed to be  in a hurry to get where they were going.
I thought they were Gulls at first but the top bird looks like a Dove but I cannot place the others.
There are a group of Doves seen around Leeshaw.
However, these birds were not circling about, but flying fast and strong.
I just managed a couple of pics before they disappeared.

Leeshaw:

Sunny mostly , but ,a strong wind made it feel very cold.

2 Kestrel, Lapwing, 5 Cormorant.
A large and noisy contingent of Canada Geese flew over to land (mostly) out of sight.
Greylag Geese.
2 Raven.
C70 Gulls.

Leeming 13:25

2 Pied wagtail, 2 Kestrel.
c25 Gulls, 3 Pheasant.
2 Grey Wagtail, 5 Tufted Duck.
3 Bullfinch, Mistle Thrush.
5 Red Legged Partridge.

2 Raven.

All the Raven seen, were being mobbed by other Corvids.
Seems they are not liked by other family members.
A bit like us humanoids, then.

Ponden:
