Bingley Canal and 'The Flood'

Christmas shopping has raised it's ugly head, these last few days.
But given the awful weather, the shopping has been nearly bearable.

It was a cold 1 deg. with some snow when we left home this morning, and a balmy 2 deg. when we arrived back.

Today it was Bradford Broadway's turn to receive  some looking at.

I thought we'd actually managed to come away without 'spending a penny', but, a great toy shop took our attention (and not too many Sovs) where we got a few small presents for Abigail.

We managed a cold stroll along the Bingley canal for 30 minutes 'on the way home'.

Passing the Raggalds Flood, later, we noticed that there was actually some juice there and I took a few dull pictures.
I think it's the first juice here since last April!

Birds:-

Bingley:

Along the canal there were lots of Blackbirds, a few Redwing in the trees and c10 Fieldfare overhead.

Lots of Blue and Great Tits flitting about with 1 Coal Tit picked out and c12 Long Tailed Tits.

Sue picked out a M. Bullfinch in the bushes and there were a few Bullfinch calls heard along the way.

Pr. Mute Swan, Moorhen, Goosander, Pr, Mistle Thrush.

Carrion Crow with white in it's wings.

Raggalds Flood:

4 Black Headed Gull and c12 Mallard all took to the skies.

The Bingley canal is a good place for Waxwing but none seen as yet.
