Birdcage Lane, Saville Park and Halifax Parish Church Areas

It was a grim damp misty and cold morning in Bradshaw this morning.
Later on we had a trip to see Sue's dad near Saville Park.
I had a scout around the Birdcage Lane area, where the remnants of the mist made it feel raw.

Afterwards Sue had to pop into M&S for a brief visit and I declined the invite to buy some new underpants and took a look around the Parish Church area.

Birdcage Lane Area:

The 'one-way' road that leaves Birdcage Lane looks down onto many Oak Trees.
Here, there were probably over 100 Tits in various guises.

Blue, Great, Long Tailed and Coal Tit were seen.
They were flitting about all over the shop.
Trying to find a non-tit bird was a bit tedious.

I did managed to see 4 Nuthatch, a Treecreeper, 3 Jay and a Bullfinch but good photo opportunities were scarce, with numerous tree branches in the way.

Saville Park:

There were c10 Pied Wagtail feeding on the football fields.
A flock in excess of 200 Starling flew over.
Not a lot else seen.

Halfax Parish Church Area:

Just 15 mins or so here but it was very rewarding.

4/5 Blackbirds.
1 Song Thrush - very rare bird for me.
Great Spotted Woodpecker called.

A Peregrine Falcon was very distant, perched on a building, in the mist, as well!!

Not a bad do, considering the weather.

A few 'misty' pictures!!

Spot the Bullfinch!

Spot the Treecreeper

Far too far away for my tackle, in the mist!
