Bradshaw to Haworth Hike

10:55 - 14:10

Brightish early on, but gloomy late afternoon.
Foggy as we arrived back in Bradshaw this evening.

Our route went across the Bradshaw Farms to Ogden, up Back Lane to Oxenhope (TMR) Reservoir.
Then some pleasant downhill past Leeming Reservoir and through Oxenhope to the Station.
A bit of a muddy tread along the side of the stream into Haworth.

We enjoyed a Mulled Wine and a curry in the Fleece Inn - great food, before a 'three bus experience' back to Bradshaw via Hebden Bridge and Halifax.

Birds:-

(Earlier, a Great Spotted Woodpecker was seen from Ing Royd (Birdcage Lane) car park.)

Not much time to stop and stare along the hike.

4 Red Legged Partridge seen from the Bradshaw Farm tack.
4 or so Red Grouse seen / heard on the slog up Back Lane to Oxenhope Reservoir.
A Great Spotted Woodpecker called as we went up Back Lane, Ogden.
Oxenhope reservoir was too distant to ID anything with confidence.(Possibly a Tufted Duck seen).
A quick glance on the way past Leeming Reservoir, gave us c150 Gulls, 1 Cormorant and a couple of Tufted Duck.
A Heron on the stream as we entered Haworth.

A tough walk today - I'm getting o.l.d.
