Sainsbury's and Bradshaw to Ogden and back

Sainsbury's:

Sue had a 5 minute call to make at Sainsbury's this morning so I took the opportunity to have a stroll around the car park.
It was nice to bump into PG who was just leaving there.

No sign of the earlier Waxwings but there were a few aggressive Mistle Thrush and a few Blackbird with loads of flighty Redwing.
I guess the berries will soon be all gone and the Thrushes will have to resort to feeding in the fields?

Bradshaw to Oden and back:

13:50 - 16:00

The usual stroll to Ogden, via the Bradshaw farm track and back via the lanes rather than Soil Hill.

An enjoyable outing with some decent winter sunshine before the clouds arrived later on.

Birds:

Little Owl.
Mostly Black Headed Gulls with a couple of Common Gulls on Ogden Water.
A few Herring Gulls seen overhead throughout the outing.
2 Goldcrest. Kestrel , miles off over Soil Hill.
A Great Spotted Woodpecker was high in a conifer, seen from Ogden Lane - nice to get a little one here!

Pick of the birds:

An optimistic photograph of a distant 'brown blob' taken from the promenade, has turned into a Teal now that I am home and can have a good look at it!
A good bird for Ogden these days.

(Had I realised what the bird was, I would have grapevined it earlier)

Sunrise in Bradshaw this morning

Get off my tree!
