Sunday 24/03/19 – Warwick Racecourse Area.

Buzzard, Stock Dove, Little Grebe, Kestrel.

Monday 25/03/19 – Brandon Marsh – Wildlife Trust. Coventry Area.

Loads of wildfowl.

Top of the shop 2 Snipe and a Jack Snipe.
Great Spotted Woodpecker, Treecreeper.
Lots of Reed Bunting and singing Chiffchaff.
Gadwall, Redshank, Shoveler, Wigeon.
Teak, Shelduck, Tufted Duck, Cormorant.
Greylag Goose, Mute Swan, Heron, Buzzard.

Wednesday 27th March 2019- Carsington Water.
(Between Ashborne and Belper).

First time here and what a fantastic place.
Large expanse of water with 2 or 3 islands.
An 8 mile cycle / Footpath all the way around the water.

(Not a good idea to leave your rucksack (on the way around the compete circuit) after stopping in a bird hide -
then remembering that you aint got owt on your back ………. very much later! - The rucksack was still there on our return. Sue is very understanding because she is so much younger and nowhere near as forgetful as me - yet!!)

Great Cafe and a restaurant with visitor centre shops.
Plenty of wildfowl, some very distant.

A G.N.D. Was reported earlier in the week, here, but we did not eyeball it today.
There is such a vast expanse of water that the bird could still be here though.
