(A Curlew was heard calling as I was in the garden this morning).
A cracking spring day, blue sky and sunshine.
Quite warm by afternoon.
Bradshaw:
The day started well with a cronking Raven over Oats Royd area, heard as I went along the field path towards Ned Hill Road.
Also along here, 2 Curlew, Little Owl.
2 Herring Gull overhead, 4 Meadow Pipit, Skylark.
Ogden Area:
A Buzzard and a Kestrel were very distant, seen over Soil Hill as I went along Syke Lane.
A Curlew was over Soil Hill, seen from Back Lane, Ogden.
Ogden Water was quiet:- Moorhen, 4 Common and 1 Black Headed Gull.
A Herring Gull was seen through the 'cafe' window as I had my butties there.
The walk past the Golf Club House towards Stodfold was great.
Lovely views and some stunning plumage being sported by the Meadow Pipits.
A Chiffchaff was singing.
Also about Kestrel, 9 Curlew, Meadow Pipit(s), Skylark.
Stodfold Area:
Reed Bunting - seen very briefly.
Little Owl in a tree.
Mistle Thrush, Pheasant, Chiffchaff.
Stodfold to Bradshaw.
Greenfinch, Chiffchaff, Skylark. Long Tailed Tit.
A really enjoyable day out.
