Elland Canal - towards Salterhebble

A day of hospital appointments today, but we did squeeze in a short stroll from Elland towards Salterhebble and back, late afternoon.
It was warm and pleasant with some sunshine and little breeze - a lovely change from recent blowy days.

Birds:

Not a bad outing for such a short walk.

Heron flying over Elland Bridge.
Mallard.
Sparrowhawk - high - just managed a photo before it vanished.
Long Tailed Tit
Pr. Nuthatch

A very active singing/calling Chiffchaff gave me the run around.
It did not stay still AT ALL - no consideration.

There will soon be plenty of Chiffchaffs to choose from though!

Nearest I got to owt decent and it's out of focus.

Nuthatch in the dark tree tops.

A short tune.
