Golden Acre Park/BrearyMarsh Bramhope - walk

An outing with friends to Bramhope, Leeds and a walk around a picturesque area.
There is a café here but I found it a bit expensive for my 'cheapskate' tastes.
The others were less picky!
A visit to M&S and Asda at Putsey, satisfied the shopping needs of the ladies, afterwards.

A dull , cold day for the most part, but it remained dry.

An enjoyable outing.

Birds:-

Not the usual birding routine today, with others not keen on standing about for yonks, but I did manage a few photographs with my Lumix FZ72.
The birds of the day were Great Spotted Woodpecker with 3 seen and a further 3 heard drumming.

A pr. Brambling was a nice find.
There were many singing Chiffchaff and many calling Nuthatch throughout the walk.
Sue Spotted a Red Kite overhead.
On the water Mute Swan, Black Headed Gull, Tufted Duck, Moorhen, Coot, Greylag Goose, Teal.
Also on a small pond and flying into the trees were 2pr. Mandarin Duck.
Pr Song Thrush, 2 Jay.

… and a few others.
