Monday 29th April, 2019.
A long walk along the sea front, with the tide on it's way in, this afternoon.
No bins or camera for a change today.
6 Brent Geese were a great sight to see on the sea, near the beach.
Not many waders about but we did get to see a few.
Sanderling, Dunlin and Turnstone were here.
A Cuckoo called from near the Caravan Park as we got back.
If fact a Cuckoo was calling on each day but remained incognito.
A late evening stroll brought with it a distant Reed Bunting and Linnets in the bushes.
Tuesday 30th April 2019.
A long (for us anyway) bike ride to Grimsby Docks and back where Sue wanted to take a look at the Fishing Heritage Museum.
I, being a Philistine where Museums are concerned, opted to sit about outside for a few hours watching the inlet and canal.
Nothing of note came along, though.
A Herring Gull had an unusual black streaking on it's face.
On the way here, we lost our bearings, and a lot of my muscle power. Whilst negotiating some tufted grassy stuff, we came across a reeling Grasshopper Warbler.
On our way home, the tide had gone out (it only stays 'in' 10 minutes or so).
c30 Oystercatcher were close by with 'loads more' way out on a sand bank, with the Brent Geese seen yesterday.
It looks like my biking days are fast approaching the terminus.
Wednesday 1st May, 2019.
A walk along to the 'Fitties' today with the tide way out, yet again.
We had some smashing views of c35 Brent Geese.
Also Little Egret and Skylark.
Whitethroat were singing in the bushes, but they remained mostly out of sight.
Just a few Swallows and no Swift seen yet, but many Linnet was nice to see.
A Yellowhammer was also seen along the way.
