5 Great Spotted Woodpeckers heard along the lane.
Also juv. Dunnock and Mistle Thrush.
I enjoyed a chat with a local lady called Gail who had seen a Juv Tawny Owl being plagued by crows in the woods across the road.

We had to take Emma to Pinderfields Hospital late morning today.A Buzzard was being mobbed by another bird(?) as we drove along the M62 on our way home.

Hec John, that other bird looks interesting ---- can't work it out, long wings and so pale underneath. Was it about same size as the buzzard ?

I thought it was crow sized at the time - looks like the Buzzard is mobbing it.
Looks like a large Raptor with V shaped flight.

That's what I was wondering but it's not easy to be 100% sure so it's one reluctantly to forget !!
