Blackpool in my least favourite place but this was about Emma not me, me, me.
The trams are a real godsend, for getting about with a wheelchair, and with a reasonably priced family ticket we could travel the length and breadth of the place.
The tram staff are very patient and understanding.
The Hotel 'Cliff's' on the front is a bit out of the limelight thank goodness, and with entertainment at night and fantastic food we did not need to venture out in the evenings.
Anyway....
My birding was not on the agenda but I did manage to bag a Peregrine Falcon while the girls went shopping at the Fleetwood Freeport Outlet.
I also spent a dull and damp Saturday evening looking out to sea with a handful of frustrated fishing types.
They were fishing from the concrete promenade, sheltering under the tail-gate of their cars, and I was looking for Terns - both the fishermen and me came up blank.
During a short stop on the way home, near Lytham St Anne's I did managed to pick out a distant Little Egret.
Most of the Waders are still absent with the Dunlin still up a Fly Flatts!
A few photos:-
Young Herring Gulls on the house roofs - seen from the tram near Fleetwood.
