Lots of foggy stuff in Bradshaw this morning, so I took a run out to Oxenhope hoping for better conditions.
Very dull and dismal here but JUST below the fog/cloud base - a pretty miserable do.
I had the bright idea of walking up the track, bart coat.
Of course, at the most distant point from the car, big tennis ball globlets came-a-globbletting.
Birds:
3 Oystercatcher, Greylag Geese, Kestrel.
Cormorant, a couple of very wet Pheasant.
Starling flock, Lapwing, Curlew, Meadow Pipit.
Top of the shop was a distant Snipe on a field wall.
2 Lesser Black-backed Gull and 3 Black Headed Gull seen.
Snipe were calling/displaying overhead - they could be heard but remained unseen in the gloom - spookily strange.
A Little Owl was in the usual spot - out in the rain - unusually.
A return home along the Fly Flatts Road was grim in the rain but Fly Flatts itself looked to be brightening up a bit.
I could not see the water - just a few Meadow Pipits on the walls along the road.
(Must get messen a Range Rover, then I can tear along Fly Flatts Road with impunity, just like Mr. Speedy Gonzales today).
Anybody listen to Popmaster this morning?
It went on a tie-break for ages with none of the 2 contestants getting a question right.
It was decided on the toss of a coin.
Makes you want to have a go.
I'd probably get 6 points if the questions were about music from 1964 - 1984!
At least I got the Amen Corner one today.
