Soil Hill etc

Second outing today with a late visit to Soil Hill this evening.
Still very warm but pleasant enough.
An interesting outing with some birds to keep the interest ticking along.
Lots of mown fields but the grass don't look much.
"You're a farmer now are ye?" as me mother would have said.

 Birds:

c10 Meadow Pipit.

3 Starling.
Moorhen on the lower NK pond.
Pheasant. Goldfinch.
Herring Gulls adult and sub-adult.
Lesser Black -backed Gull.
Black Headed Gull.
2 Kestrel.

Really great to see Pr. Grey Partridge with 2  very young chicks along Soil Hill Track.

Little Owls calling in 2 locations.

Nothing great, I know, but a lot better than I expected with the hot weather.

Soil Hill - not a bad place to be on a lovely evening.

It's not been one of my better year's so far with my Calderdale List stuck at 101, but it beats sitting on the A64 for 40 mins (going to Filey) and 55 min on the return journey!

It's all happening here.
I was miles off on Soil Hill Track
Took this pic of ONE Pheasant!
