A pleasant lunch in The Beach Inn with friends and a circuit of the water on a dull and drizzly day.
The water has been partially drained to allow for maintenance leaving lots of shoreline but few Waders.
I enjoyed a chat with a birder in the hide there.
He had not seen anything of note today here either.
On the way home, a chance photo from the car, cropped and lightened, reveals probably a Peregrine on Dean Clough chimney.
Birds:-
Lapwing, Great Created Grebe, Black Headed Gull, Common Gull.
Cormorant. Mute Swan. c180 Canada Geese.
Teal, Mallard, Pied wagtail.
Lesser Black-backed Gull, 6 Heron, Pheasant.
A few Swallow overhead.
