Thornwick Bay Pool (Nr. Flamboro Head)

A short visit to Thornwick Bay Caravan park this week.
Not much happening at the pool, though, but some decent birds about nearby.

Birds:

Yellowhammer, Reed Bunting.
Poss. Bearded Tit - see naff photo.
The bird popped up for half a mo. I spent a good 20 minutes looking for it but it did not show.

Teal, Dunlin, Greylag Goose.
Pied Wagtail, Linnet, Buzzard.
Moorhen, Black Headed Gull, Herring Gull.
Starling, Meadow Pipit, Blackbird.
Rook, Carrion Crow, Gannet.
Cormorant, Shag, Wheatear.

Pretty sure the couple of birds on the cliff ledges were Shag.

2 Ducks seen off the North Landing on the sea have me a bit puzzled.
After searching through my bird books I think they are Teal.

Any comments are always welcome.

John.

Shag

This very elusive bird had me beat.
(Corn Bunting?)

Possible Bearded Tit

Cropped - Yuk!

Teal / Dunlin distant at the pool

Teal (I think out to sea)
