Sowerby Bridge to Mytholmroyd

11:00 - 13:15

A birding walk along the canal on a mild, calm, overcast day.

Birds:-

Long Tailed Tit groups seen throughout.
7 Heron (Although the same bird(s) may have been seen twice).
5 Nuthatch calling - 1 seen.
Coal Tit, Jay, Pied Wagtail.
Good to see 2 flighty Goldcrest.
A few Black Headed Gull.
2 Swallow or House Martin high overhead.

A great curry for lunch at The Kitchen café on the canal, next to the ex White Lion in Mytholmroyd.

I did consider going up Soil Hill later but the weather turned decidedly yucky.

Best I could do - they were off in a second

Ummm?
