Ogden Thursady pm

A dull sort of afternoon with a few bits of drizzle.
The usual circuit of Ogden Water late afternoon today.

Birds:-

c40 Small Gulls mostly Black Headed Gulls.
A few Lesser Black-backed Gulls coming and going.
A Juv. Mute Swan - rare visitor to Ogden.

A look down the murky sluice area did not reveal any birds, but a Dipper did fly low over the water as I went around the circuit.

A Jay collecting beech nuts from the path with the usual smaller birds flitting about - a very good contingent of Long Tailed Tit.

A couple of interesting flighty Warblers - Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler but I'm still looking at my bird books, hoping for a surprise!

A Sparrowhawk flew over, high, only just got a distant photo of it though.

An enjoyable outing - things seems livelier later in the day around the water.

Nice moon Wednesday night

Chiffchaff

Out of focus - Chiffchaff
