The usual birding walk this afternoon, mild and dry start, mild and very wet finish.
Bradshaw Farm Track had a distant Little Owl on a field wall.
Along the Ogden Water circuit a Kingfisher was at the very back of the sluice area in darkness.
Interestingly, hiding in the east side bushes later, a calling Kingfisher was soon joined by a second bird.
These 2 birds flew ahead of me and each time landed in the trees, obscured by loads of branches.
I could not tell if they were male of female birds.
So there was possibly 3 Kingfishers here.
Plenty of other birds along the circuit, Bullfinch.
Blue, Great and Coal Tit, Chaffinch, 6 Robin at least.
Goldcrest, Blackbird, Mistle Thrush.
Mallard, Common and Black Headed Gull.
1 Lesser Black-backed Gull.
Plantation - Coal Lane just a few Pheasant seen.
Ned Hill Track had a Pr. Bullfinch in the bushes - good birds for here.
A short call from a Meadow Pipit on Soil Hill top but I did not locate the bird.
A Pheasant winning the 100 yds sprint race.
Taylor Lane area had a Pheasant near the Midden.
Very good numbers of small Gulls, mostly Common Gulls were in the fields here - groups of 180 plus, 20 plus and a 30 plus.
Mistle Thrush.
