Another local birding walk this afternoon was plagued by frequent showers.
The showers died out as I was nearly home.
The large flock of Fieldfare were seen from Soil Hill c170 birds.
Earlier a smaller flock were in the trees with Redwing, along the farm track.
There were also some Fieldfare and a few Mistle Thrush in the Taylor Lane fields with the Starling flock.
2 Herring Gulls seen from Ned Hill Track.
3 Kestrel and a few other sp.
No Owls at all today.
Earlier Raggalds Flood had 1 Black Headed Gull and 38 Lapwing in residence.
Not sure of what the odds are on picking out a rare Thrush in among the regular Winter types?
