10:00 - 12:00 (ish).
Very windy in Bradshaw this morning and, as I could not face having me 'ed blowed off on Soil Hill, I opted for a drive down to Lightcliffe.
It was a nice change to bump into another birder down there, with my yearly coincidental meeting with Mike S. (who I insist on calling Geoff for some reason!)
Unusually quiet here this morning with few thrushes and no Peckers at all!
Long Tailed Tit seem to be thriving with a good few hereabouts.
3 Nuthatch was about as exciting as it got!
A F. Bullfinch that posed for a photograph made a change, with them normally skulking in deep cover.
A couple of distant Mistle Thrush here, and a few smaller birds as well.
A singing Thrush was probably a Song Thrush although the song was not as exuberant as usual and as I did not eyeball it, Song Thrush still awaits a tick.
In fact I had no new additions to my so far paltry 2020 birding list.
But..... It's early days.
