Ogden to Bradshaw

12:50 - 15:30

Another birding outing from Ogden to home where the weather was sunny and sheltered to start.
I thought I was going to experience my first dry outing in a while, but the hail gods had over ideas, giving me a real soak and sting, in a near gale approaching Soil Hill.

Birds:

Ogden:

c100 Small Gulls.
Kingfisher in the sluice area.
Second Kingfisher in the NW end bushes.
F. Bullfinch.
28 Lapwing flew W.

A "would be" F Goldeneye was hidden by foilage in the NE pond area.
I took a walk around the top path for a better view but it had "gone".
Returning to my original sighting the Goldeneye had now morphed into a ROCK .
These Goldeneyes are quite something, aren't they?
Obviously my eyes aren't golden!

Plantation Area:

Kestrel.
Herring Gull over.

Nothing of note on the way home, good to be out and about though.

  2. Cheers Dave.
    My list is somewhat sparse.
But, as someone said, there's 11+ months to go.
Shout out when the Snow Bunt arrives please!
