Hollingworth Lake etc

A lovely sunny day today with blue skies over Bradshaw.
While we were tidying up the garden this morning, a Great Black-backed Gull flew WSW overhead.

After lunch we had a drive over to Hollingworth Lake.
Peregrine Falcon was seen going and on the return.
With several reports of Whooper Swans on the busy grapevine today, I kept a look out at the reservoirs we passed on the way.
No Whoopers, for me, today though.

Nearing Hollingworth Lake it looked like the fog had only just cleared. It was a lot colder here than at home.

We parked at the visitor centre for free, theives having stolen the parking meters!

The 'usual' birds hereabouts as far as I could tell.
A lot of the birds remained well out on the lake.

30 Cormorant.
5 Great Crested Grebe.
3 Mute Swan.
Teal Lapwing
Canada Goose.
Black Headed Gull.
Common Gull.
Herring Gull.

Some 1st / 2nd Winter large Gulls were present but I am struggling to ID them with any confidence!
Probably Herring Gull.

3 Goosander.

The large light coloured bird on the left is a puzzler.

Some tail feathers of other birds
