Lower Shay Fields/Foreside Lane Area and Local Walk

A cold, mostly sunny afternoon with an evil NE wind.

A run out to Foreside Lane this afternoon hoping for Golden Plover in the Lower Shay Fields.
These fields are very distant when viewed from Soil Hill top but a lot nearer viewed from Thornton Road.
No luck today, though, with the Golden Plover.

A short gander up Foreside Lane for Wheatear failed to locate one.

Birds:

Large flock of Starling with c6 Lapwing.
Curlew.
c20 Meadow Pipit
Not a lot else.

Local Walk:

A short walk from home this aft. along the local farm track, where previously, I've had both Ring Ouzel and Wheatear - but not today.
I probably saw them previously on their Autumn migration.

Birds:

4 Mistle Thrush - together.
Stock Dove
Solitary Common Gull.
Collard Dove.
2 Pheasant , one next to 2 cats (neither the cats nor the Pheasant seemed bothered by one another).
Kestrel.
Wren.
Pr. Little Owl.
