Shibden Park and Bradshaw/Soil Hill

At last a dry Saturday where we took Abi with her bike to Shibden Park.
I had a walk around as she played football with a couple of youngsters she palled along with.

Usual birds (Mostly) here:-

4 Black Headed Gull, Mallard, Moorhen, Coot.
2 Pied Wagtail, Pr. Mute Swan, Wren.
Canada Geese, Jay, Long Tailed Tit.
Mistle Thrush.
2 Nuthatch and a high Buzzard were the pick of the bunch.

Bradshaw / Soil Hill walk.

16:00 - 17:40 (ish).

The usual jaunt hoping for something extra special.
Along the fields to Ned Hill, up Ned Hill, around Soil Hill and back via Percy and Taylor Lane.

Very cold lazy easterly wind here.
Nice to chat with the 'GI boys' too cold to hang about today though.

Birds:

Curlew and a Little Owl in the Bradshaw fields.
(unusual to see Curlew so close to home).
4 Meadow Pipit.
2 Skylark (both flushed silently).
Kestrel.

Moorhen, Mallard and a Little Grebe on the lower mega distant, NK pond.

The cold wind not helping - although an east wind is a good direction for us with migrating birds?

Shibden Park:

This bird, distant over Bradshaw this morning - probably a Gull.
With the distance affecting the photo.
