We enjoyed a muddy, squelchy walk along the stream from Oxenhope to Haworth this aft. We came back on a bit less muddy top path via the church and Old Oxenhope Lane.
Pleasant enough with the sun shining.
Soil Hill:
The sun was shining as Sue dropped me on a cold and windy Soil Hill late afternoon.
Very, very windy on the west side and all went well until a huge black cloud turned day into night and dropped its contents on me 'ed.
The clouds contents lasted till I got home, then the well ran dry and the sun came out again.
Birds:
Not a lot given the wind.
Another silently flushed bird, that I thought I'd managed to catch on camera, left the north end and disappeared over the hill in a flash. Can't see it in the photo - amazing.
I'm guessing Pheasant but I though Pheasant would alarm call when being flushed?
2 Meadow Pipit.
Moorhen.
5 Lapwing, miles off down the Shay fields - probably more than 5.
Common Gull in the fields.
Taylor Lane:
9 Fieldfare and 2 Pheasant was about me lot!
Flushed 'Pheasant' here somewhere!!
