Easter Sunday in the garden (mostly)

More cloud today , warm a.m. but a very cold strong northly breeze later afternoon.

Nothing much seen from the garden.
I hope I'm not the only birder struggling with the garden watch!
The exercise walk, with a slight diversion, down Ned Hill Road and left along the farm track, brought a yearly tick with my first Chiffchaff.

Nothing much seen as we scooted along Taylor Lane alas.

Struggling with my Calderdale Area Yearly List - now 82.

Birds:

Meadow Pipit, Mallard, Chiffchaff, Coal Tit.
A few Swallows passing high during the watch.
Late evening in the cold wind a few Large Gulls came west over the house.
2 Herring Gulls and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.

19:00 And a Swallow struggled low > N against the wind as the sky got really dark - then I called it a day.

A cold day forecast for tomorrow with wind from the NE.
