Sat 25th Another Scorcher

Cool and misty early on. The mist soon burned off leaving a very warn sunny day.

A Green Woodpecker called frequently as I sat in the garden and a few Linnet were flitting about with the usual neighbours.

My exercise walk just took in Taylor Lane and Soil Hill today, a hot affair even on Soil Hill!"
It was worth the effort though with an addition to my Calderdale 2020 birding list, bringing it to 85.

Birds:

Willow Warbler, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Linnet.
Heron, 3 Lapwing, 2 Curlew, 2 Stock Doves.
3 Mallard, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel.

Pr. Oystercatcher, Wheatear.
