Friday 24th - a blog to aid sleep!

After all the rain in February and March it looks like we are  heading for the driest April on record with another dry and very warm day today.

Very quiet skies (again).
Not much happening in the garden - 3 Linnet was the highlight.

A Sparrowhawk was seen over Bradshaw Park when I went to get my prescription from the chemist.

A later than usual walk, coincided with the hottest part of the day, alas.

I had a change of route and missed out Ned Hill Track in favour of the field paths, above the quarry on Soil Hill, emerging on Percy Road.
I was hoping for Wheatear, but only saw a few Meadow Pipit.

Birds:-
Sparrowhawk.
3 Linnet.

4 Willow Warbler
2 Skylark
5 Meadow Pipit
Pied Wagtail.
Little Owl.

Above - late yesterday evening - Sparrowhawk?

Below - on the way to the chemist.

Spot the Little Owl.
