A very hot day in the garden

Our usual longish walk this morning which takes in Ned Hill , where a few Linnets were seen.
Swifts were very high over Percy Road with the usual contingent of Swallows.
There looks to be more local Swallows this year than last.

A long hot stint in the garden, sitting under a brolly, while Sue took the blazing sun.

A cloudless blue sky made sky watching difficult with not a lot on offer.
The usual garden birds about.

A few Swifts were very high overhead with a few Swallows about.

Late afternoon and a small Swallow commotion shook me from my crossword to look skywards.

Sparrowhawk , soared in a circle very high overhead.
The bird was soon gone but I was very happy that I managed a few photos of it.

There is something special about Raptors, most of which I struggled to ID with confidence.
