Taylor Lane - Soil Hill

Today the wind was cold on the hill but Ned Hill Track, in the sunshine and shelter was surprisingly warm.

It was very cold in the garden, with brisk the N or NE wind, making the sky watch a non-event.

More or less the same birds as yesterday with an addition of a Partridge flushed from the North side contour path - probably a Grey Partridge but I'm by no means positive.

A lot less birdsong than yesterday.

Birds:-

Willow Warbler, Whitethroat, Skylark, Meadow Pipit.
6 Lapwing, Curlew, Mallard, Linnet.
c6 Lesser Black-backed Gulls over.
Stock Dove.

Little Owl on Taylor Lane(nearly missed it).

  1. Those partridge are often really difficult to identify when they fly away, really low down, without calling John. I have the same problem though more often than not they are RLP rather than our Grey P.
    Like the millipede shot.
