Ogden in the Rain (again)

It rained most of the day today and very windy with it.
I had a run out, after lunch, to Ogden Water - good to chat to DJS JS doing the rounds.
Loads of water gushing through the pipes and streams into the reservoir.

A few good birds (for here) did come along periodically, keeping the mind off the rain.
Not many woodland birds seen from the perimeter path, mind you.

Birds:-

3 Cormorant, Mallard with very young duckling down in the sluice.
Also here was a Dipper.

Along the circuit, a Heron was on the west bank but moved to the East side as I approached.
Really great to get a Redshank a good Wader for here.

An Oystercatcher flew overhead, calling. The call picked out by DJS.

The Great Crested Grebe was still present out in the middle/north of the water.

2 Grey Wagtails were at the East side intake stream area.

1 Pied Wagtail was on the east waterside stones.

I checked out at Raggalds Flood on the home.
Some much needed corporation pop here but no birds.

A Sparrowhawk flew, close, over my head as I went out to the wheelie bin this morning.

Lots of brown water

No 1.

No 2.

A lone Duckling down in the dark sluice area.
No sign of mum.
