I had a later visit to Soil Hill Thursday evening.
Very windy on the top, not bad on Ned Hill Track. Only one big shower to contend with.
Lots of Pipits on the top with Skylarks etc,
Good to chat with Keighley birder Jack in a heavy shower!
Examining the phots when I got home, I've got a photo of a Pipit with a leg ring that ii though at one point could possibly be a Tree Pipit - however they are difficult birds for me to separate without some good photos showing the hind claws, so I'm erring on the side of caution and going for Meadow Pipit - either way I've posted some photos.
I think the photos are all the of same bird!
Swallows were nearly landing on the top of the grass, looking for insects and just before the deluge sent me home, a Buzzard was being mobbed by 2 Crow types.
