Cleethorpes Day 2 Mon pm and part Day 3 Tues

A walk into the edge of Cleethorpes town, trying to avoid any crowds this morning was very interesting.
Amazingly the high tide had left pools of water along the beach and loads of Wader were a 'bit nearer'.

I have had an interesting afternoon looking through my photos with birds in very similar plumage both summer and winter or going into winter plumage a real challenge.
Knot and Godwit, although there is a massive size difference seem (to me) to have very similar colour.
With distant birds asleep on the shore with their bills tucked away and the variable depth of the water covering their legs or part of the legs makes for a very interesting few hours trying to ID them.
If we saw them everyday, no doubt we would readily ID some of them immediately.
I always thing of a Dunnock, a little brown job, but instantly recognisable because it is seen most days and its mannerisms are recognised.

Nearly half way through the photos now.... hope you enjoy these.

This bird has the look of a Caspian Gull

Very large looking female Kingfisher

Great Black-Backed Gull,Little Egrets with what looks like a Black Headed Gull flying between them.
