Foreside Lane Area Bridleways

A truly grotty morning here with low mist, heavy drizzle blown along on a strong westerly.
Brightened as I was leaving.
Not much happening.
Good to talk to farmer Keith.

2 Swallow, still going into stables.
c20 Meadow Pipit here and there.
Red Legged Partridge.
Red Grouse calling from the gloom.
Linnet.

A distant bird on a wall has me a bit puzzled.
I was thinking Stonechat at first but I've settled on 1st year Female Wheatear looking at the photos. But not 100% convinced.

A bit bigger than Stonechat / Whinchat.
No eye stripe for Whinchat.
No white in wing for Stonechat.
White showing on edges of coverts? for Wheatear?
Let me know if I'm wrong (or right) please!!
(There is quite a difference between photos of Wheatear between 'Britain's Birds' and 'Collins' birding books).
