Ringstone Today, Lytham St, Annes Yesterday

Ringstone:

(2 Swallow seen from the garden a.m and 2 House Martin p.m. today
Plus an unid. with very long wings?).

A run out to Ringstone this aft in Sue's car.
You really need a scope here but mine was in my car today.
However, it was great to bump into PD who was scoping the reservoir from the west side.

Birds:-

10 Snipe (courtesy of PD).

I managed to get some truly awful photos of a few of the Snipe, the glare and the distance making the photos not worth publishing.

Black Headed Gull.
Lesser Black-backed Gull.
2 Great Crested Grebe.
Meadow Pipit.
Pied wagtail.
Linnet.

and a few others.

Lytham St. Annes.

A day out at Lytham St. Anne's included 30 minutes birding as the sun was setting.
A sunny day with a strong, cold northerly wind for the most part.
Most of the sea birds were distant in awkward light.

Birds (or some of them!):

Shelduck, Herring Gull, Great Black-backed Gull.
Dunlin, Knot, Redshank, Heron.
Little Egret.
"Hundreds" of Teal.
Oystercatcher.
