Sue dropped me at Ogden to save some time and boot leather.
A dark overcast outing that threatened rain but none came along.
A look along Back Lane before a partial circuit of the water.
I left via Boggart Brigg to walk home to Bradshaw.
Birds:
Best that I could find along Back Lane was a very secretive brownish Coal Tit that I could not get a picture of.
There were quit a lot of people here keeping the circuit birds rare.
Usual birds on the water but a Juv. Moorhen in the NW corner made a change.
3 Great Spotted Woodpecker (2 heard in the woods, 1 heard then seen on the Boggart Brigg exit path).
Green Woodpecker heard then seen along by Boggart Brigg.
The Great Spotted sp giving the Green sp. the old heave-ho.
I would have though that the Green Pecker would have been the dominate one?
Along the circuit path a smallish version of a Mistle Thrush with a similar undulating flight flew over the circuit path to exit by the prom.... No idea what it was.
2 Jay was about all.
