Ogden (Wet) and an interesting Gull

A wet hour of so with a circuit of Ogden Water this afternoon.
Drizzle was blown along by a stiff NW breeze making it feel cold.
The north end of the reservoir, however, was quite sheltered and dry(ish).
Lots of small birds calling but not easy to locate.

Birds:-

Usual Mallard and Gulls with one exception.
A 1st Winter(?) Large Gull with very white head and dark eye markings has the look of a Yellow Legged Gull?
The bird did not stop long and I lost it for a bit, and I'm unsure if the Gull in flight photo is that of the same Gull on the water.

I'm more 'Hans Anderson' than 'David Attenborough' when it comes to Gull ID especially Large 'Brown' Gulls - so I would not bet the ranch on it being a YLG.

Even though I struggle with Gull ID they still interest me and this last year or two has thrown up some beauties locally.

Other than that..

A Tit flock was moving through with Blue, Great, Coal and at least 15 Long Tailed Tits were here.
Pr. Bullfinch.

Usual Robins and Blackbirds about.

A very twitchy Moorhen.

2 Great Spotted Woodpecker (Heard).
Jay (Heard).

Not a lot else.
