Coach Road And Owls From Earlier This Autumn

A dull windy morning and a wet windy afternoon today.

I did not get out until after lunch when I had an exercise walk down Coach Road, Lightcliffe - a look for Brambling nr. Sefton Avenue before returning up Coach Road.

Wet and windy to start but it dry up a bit on the return leg.

Birds were difficult to come by today and I just took 8 photos which is some kind of record for me.

The usual birds were here, although I normally get Nuthatch and most times one Woodpecker - both were absent today.

Great Tits and Blue Tits in good numbers.

A few Long Tailed Tits.

A few Chaffinch. Wren. Goldfinch.

Blackbird, Dunnock, Robin.

The usual Corvids and Black Headed Gulls about.

Owls:

I have posted a few pictures of 2 Long Eared Owls and a Barn Owl that I have been lucky enough to see earlier this autumn.

Because  of the sensitive nature of these rare birds their locations, and timing of my sightings, have not been revealed in my earlier blogs.

No 1.

No 2.

No 1 and No 2.

Both Long Eared Owls Above.
There is a marked plumage  colour difference between the 2 birds.
This difference is not so apparent in these photos
