Bradshaw to Holdsworth Circular Walk

A very slippery walk today was definitely a wellybob job with the Calderdale Way path from the Holdsworth fields to near Bradshaw Park mega boggy in places.

Just the usual species seen , mostly in the small tree / bush line in the park. 6 Greenfinch here.

My best opportunity to see any 'special' Gulls was when I eyeballed a muck spreader giving a field, that I was yet to get to, the full treatment, with Gulls in tow.

The Gulls however decided to up and leave just as I arrived there.

Just Common and Black Headed Gulls seen with one Herring Gull.

A Stock Dove passed by at distance.

Elsewhere:

A Sparrowhawk was being mobbed by a solitary Crow as we went along Per Lane to look over at Mixenden Reservoir from the road.

Nothing 'Big' on the water.

In the garden late afternoon I did a bit of sky watching.

The mist was building down in Halifax and there were some great colours in the sky.

A mega distant photo looking south, way beyond Halifax, captured what looks like a Large Raptor...potentially a Goshawk but at the distance mere speculation unless someone else saw it!!

That was about all.

A real massive moon in the sky tonight.

2 Photos of the 'Sparrowhawk' nr. Mixenden

A really big crop on this mega distant potential Large Raptor
was the best I could achieve.
