Sowerby Bridge / Thornton Cycle Track/ Soil Hill

 One of those days.

Sowerby Bridge:

Zero degrees this morning with the car iced up as we had to make a trip to Sowerby Bridge where Sue had some things to sort out.

I took the opportunity to have a walk around.

I was hoping for Brambling - I've done quite well in this area for Brambling in previous winters - not today though.

Thornton Cycle Track:

A light snow shower on our way here.

We enjoyed a short walk along the cycle track this afternoon.

I took the camera with me for company.

Soil Hill:

Sue dropped me at Soil Hill on our way home just as RH was getting out of his car with his dog Sasha.

We enjoyed a chat along a very cold Soil Hill.

Especially cold along the north side with someone upstairs turning the cold air blowers up to max.

We did a circuit of the summit, not venturing elsewhere.

The dog seemed to have a great time, but birds were nearly non-existent.

A few Gulls was about all.

Home for me was via Ned Hill Lane and the farm track.

The usual species were seen along here.

Not much to crow about today, but some days are like that.

I have manged to get 8 Lifers, out and about this year, which is very satisfying.

Wishing you all the best for a very happy Christmas.
