Bradshaw - Soil Hill Circular

The usual exercise outing to Soil Hill via Taylor Lane and home via Ned Hill and the farm track / fields.

A much improved afternoon weather wise, and after a sharp shower greeted me on Soil Hill, the rest of the outing was dry with a glimmer of sunshine.

Birds:-

A much improved trek.

Taylor Lane:

Little Owl.

Soil Hill:

Heron on the top pool - looking for early frogs/ frog spawn?

2 Blackbird and a Pheasant in the north side trees.

A possible Skylark, high  flying over - "1 trill then a gap then 1 trill".

Ned Hill Road:

A great surprise of a pr. of Green Woodpecker perched together near the chicane.

Farm Track and Fields:

Sparrowhawk mobbed by a Crow.

Wren.

Common Gulls.

Gulls were moving in good numbers throughout the afternoon.

It will be interesting to see if the freezing weather forecast for the coming 7 days will result in  Pink Footed Geese moving from the frozen east coast to the 'milder' west.
