Bradshaw, Soil Hill circular

Another windy day and cold again on Soil Hill.

It looked a lot warmer than it was this morning.

Good to bump into and spend some time with AC (and learn a bit about Owl Pellets and their contents) as we both tried to avoid the worst of the wind, while we had a scan about.

Usual fare again, nothing much new, really.

Birds:

2 Little Owl  seen on my way up Bradshaw Lane.

2 Little Owl seen from Bradshaw fields nearing home from East Croft Farm.

5 Fieldfare along Taylor Lane.

4 Pied Wagtail.

Possibly 2 Linnet overhead, top of Taylor Lane, calling but the wind soon took the call away.

Takes a day or two for me old brain, to recognise new spring birds calls after the winter absence!

2 Pheasant.

Couple of Distant Lesser Black-backed Gulls and a couple of Herring Gulls, but not much sky movement.

AC nabbed 2 Reed Bunting in his scope.

2 Oystercatcher with many Lapwing and a couple of Curlew in the lower Shay fields.

c400 Starling here as well.

7 Canada Geese.

Meadow Pipit in good numbers flitting about.

Skylarks up singing.

Greenfinch calling along Taylor Lane.

2 Kestrel.

A Heron was about all, seen from an early doors garden watch.

Little Owls in the sun this morning.
Seen from Bradshaw Lane.

Top left bird cropped from the Fieldfare photo below, is shown above.
(Looks very "Ring Ouzelly" but too much white on the breast ??? ).

2 Little Owls seen from Bradshaw Fields.
