A cold 7 deg. this afternoon with a sharp N or NE wind.
After yesterday's failed hunt for Waders at Ogden, I thought I'd have a change of reservoir, where I am more or less guaranteed some Waders!
Leeshaw:
The 'usual' birds here today.
Greylag Geese with Goslings, Canada Geese.
2 Red Legged Partridge, Pied Wagtail.
Lapwing, Redshank.
1 Swallow. Mallard.
Oystercatcher, Cormorant.
2 Lesser Black-backed Gull.
One Dunlin was on the small SE section of shoreline, but it soon disappeared below the banking, not to return during my stint.
A Dipper flew over the small stream at the dip in the bridleway.
Leeming:
A bit on the chilly side here as well.
2 Swallow.
2 Grey and 2 Pied Wagtail.
Redshank called once - not seen.
At least 3 Common Sandpiper - 2 of which were very nervous.
7 Tufted Duck, Pr. Lesser Black-backed Gull.
Mallard, 2 Canada Geese.
2 Red Legged Partridge.
1 Reed Bunting.
There seems to be a lack of Kestrel about?
