Burnsall

A lovely day today with the temperature rising to 17 degrees by afternoon, and a walk along the river Wharf from Burnsall to Grassington and back.

A bacon sandwich in a Grassington cafe was very enjoyable and the place was not as busy as we feared.

A few birds kept us company along the way as well - champion.

Some birds seen were:-

2 Spotted Flycatcher.

Pr. Mandarin Duck.

Shelduck.

Green Woodpecker.

Loads of Common Sandpiper and Pied Wagtails.

Grey Wagtails in good numbers.

Swift, Swallow, Sand Martin,

Lapwing.

Goosander, one with 8 young.

Black Headed Gulls, Curlew, Moorhen.

Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush.

Oystercatcher, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff.

No Dipper seen - most odd.

Also most odd is Blogger not loading photos.

And my laptop will not recognise my modem.

Posted this on via my kindle!!

ps. After a good nights' sleep the modem and the laptop have made friends again.
