Ogden Woods:
A long walk through Ogden Woods this morning hoping for a rarer Warbler , but not a sniff.
A Cuckoo called early on , from the east, confirmed by NK who I met later.
A Reed Bunting was west of the reservoir house.
Lots of bird Song throughout the walk.
Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Song Thrush singing.
Just Mallard on the water.
Humid today.
Local Fields:
A short walk up the local fields before tea.
Humid and dull, a large brute of a black cloud looked ready to wet me through, in the end though just a few drops of rain arrived.
It did bring 2 Swift and 3 Swallows with it though.
Birds:-
2 Swift.
3 Swallow.
2 Dunnock.
Greenfinch calling.
Green Woodpecker calling.
Meadow Pipit.
2 Stock Dove.
Woodpigeon , Jackdaw.
Linnet calling.
2 Red Legged Partridge, flushed by a Rabbit (I think).
Pheasant.
1 Lapwing.
