After this mornings outing to Oats Royd (see earlier blog) I had another try for Garden warbler after lunch.
The odd heavy Hail shower with sunshine wasn't too bad.
No sign of the Garden Warbler as far as I could tell.
Lots of bird song again competing for air time.
2 Large Gulls, high and distant over Roper Lane, one with food the other mobbing it, could be Great Black-backed Gulls but the photo at that distance is not great alas.
Willow Warblers were more obliging, than this morning and a Chiffchaff was calling.
Lots of black flies floating about was encouraging.
