A change of scenery this aft. and a birding walk along the Thornton to Queensbury cycle track.
I was optimistically looking for Lesser Whitethroat, a scarce bird, but I am unsure of how scarce they are.
Anyway I did not eyeball one!
Loads of Common Whitethroat, I probably heard/saw 10 birds.
Also:-
Linnet, Willow Warbler, Blackcap.
A reclusive Garden Warbler with a tremendous song that went on ... and on ... and on and..... I still could not eyeball it!!
Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Blackbird.
Great Tit, Blue Tit, Swallow, Robin, Chiffchaff.
Siskin calling, Meadow Pipit, Song Thrush, Mistle Thrush.
Really gloomy weird light today.
Local Evening Stroll:
A Wheatear was way down at the bottom of the first horse field.
A pr. Of Red Legged Partridge flushed.
No sign of any Little Owls.
